Coffee Drinker

Posted May 24th, 2010 by Sally and filed in Firsts, Kiddos, Whoozy

Our weekend ritual around here always involves two really big cups of coffee for Matt & I.  The size of those cups of coffee are probably directly proportional to how early Whoozy wakes up (usually about 6am…even on Saturdays!).  Anyway, Ava has decided she wants in on the habit too.

Coffee is clearly out of the question for our already early-riser two-year-old, but hot chocolate is the perfect solution.  Toss in a couple marshmallows and we have a very happy Whoozy on our hands.

My grandma would make me coffee when I was Ava’s age (maybe younger). I believe that the myth of coffee stunting your growth is busted. On the other hand, I have not heard any reports on drinking coffee as a kid leading to cray cray-ness as an adult…let’s test this out!

Brady’s been drinking coffee since he was just about 2 thanks to my Mom. Mostly it was a splash of coffee and a whole lot of milk or half/half. It’s a special treat for him when we are with my parents. Really it’s all about making the coffee, that’s what he’s always been obsessed with!
